TOURBILLON
In Horlogery, "Tourbillon" means in French "Whirlwind"
Patented on June 26, 1801 by Swiss watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet. It embodies the quest for the perfect timekeeping movement. Its purpose is to counteract the influence of gravity on timekeeping accuracy. By continually rotating the escapement, the Tourbillon
mitigates gravity's effects, ensuring more precise timekeeping, particularly when the watch is in different positions.
