Gem Trail app privacy policy

Gem Trail is a free game made by OJ Studio Pty Ltd, trading as Oli&J (oliandj.com), a company registered in Australia. This policy covers the Gem Trail app for iPhone and Android. It does not cover the oliandj.com website, which has its own privacy policy.

The short version

  • Gem Trail does not collect, store or share any personal information.
  • There are no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking or in-app purchases.
  • Your scores and settings are saved only on your device.

What the app saves, and where

So you can pick up where you left off, Gem Trail saves your points, streaks, personal bests, daily quests, the stories you have found, the stone types you saved, your game settings and whether you have unlocked the daily reward. This stays on your device and is never sent to us or anyone else. Your phone may include it in its own backups (iCloud or Google), under your Apple or Google settings.

What the app does not do

  • It never asks for your name, email or any contact details, and has no sign-in.
  • It does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or other device data.
  • It contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools and does not use your device's advertising identifier.
  • It does not use the internet while you play.

Links to our website

Buttons such as “Shop” open oliandj.com in your phone’s web browser. These links carry a short campaign label (for example utm_source=gem-trail-app) so we can count how many visits come from the app. The label identifies the app and the button you tapped, not you. Once you are on oliandj.com, the website’s privacy policy applies: oliandj.com/policies/privacy-policy.

The 10% reward code

When you finish the day’s three quests, the app shows a discount code for oliandj.com. Showing the code sends nothing anywhere. If you use it at checkout, that happens on the website, under its own terms and privacy policy.

Children

Gem Trail is a game for a general audience. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Your choices and rights

We hold no personal information from the app, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You can delete everything the app has saved at any time with About & privacy → “Delete my progress on this device”, or by uninstalling the app. You keep every right that privacy laws give you (for example the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the Privacy Act 1988 in Australia), including the right to complain to a data protection authority such as the CNIL in France or the OAIC in Australia.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and mention it in the app’s release notes. If a future version ever needs personal information, we will ask for your permission first where the law requires it.
